A homeschool summer
We decided, what with everything, that we might as well continue our version of school over the school summer holidays. After all, us parents still have the same schedule so the children might as well fit around it.
We managed to arrange a few days at camp and a couple of short breaks to visit castles. Trying to make full use of the English Heritage membership, thanks to Tesco vouchers!
It all worked pretty well. A good balance of work and play, time together and apart. Good days and bad. It's ok to have a bad day, or a bit of a wobble. After all, it's not the end of the world if they end up in front of the TV.
We also have a term-time break planned in September when everyone else will be back at school, to help justify the summer studying, which we're all looking forward to.
Here's hoping the upcoming Autumn Term continues with the current level of enthusiasm.
